Trading and Vessel Operator

About the role

The Trading and Vessel Operator will ensure seamless service across the entire trade lifecycle, from contract conclusion to cash collection, while overseeing the efficient operation of Holcim's time‑chartered vessel fleet in Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Execute trade administration for bulk carriers, containers, and multimodal transport with customers, suppliers, and ship owners/brokers.
• Monitor and fulfill all cargo, shipping, and transportation commitments, escalating performance issues to internal stakeholders.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations of time‑chartered vessels, including performance monitoring against charter party terms, cost optimisation, and issuance of voyage instructions.
• Maintain accurate and timely information flows, recording data in IMOS to support financial closure and performance management.
• Anticipate, mitigate, and resolve trade and voyage incidents in coordination with Trading and Chartering teams.

Required profile

• Experience in vessel operations and performance monitoring for time‑chartered fleets.
• Strong understanding of charter party terms and voyage instruction preparation.
• Ability to work closely with chartering managers, owners, and logistics partners.
• Proficiency in organising on‑hire/off‑hire surveys and marine cargo/damage assessments.
