UX Writer / Content Designer (Contract)

About the role

We are looking for a UX Writer / Content Designer to join our Information Technology department on a contract basis. You will craft clear, user‑focused copy and shape the overall tone of voice for our digital products.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in user research to uncover goals, behaviours and mental models.
• Define context scenarios and story‑tell ideal user experiences.
• Write plain‑English copy from the user’s perspective, simplifying complex processes.
• Create and maintain tone‑of‑voice guidelines and design content that meets user needs.
• Design and conduct usability tests for content, including card sorting and tree testing.
• Develop information architecture based on analytics, user needs and stakeholder priorities.
• Audit, map and track content, identify gaps and design navigation patterns such as faceted navigation and tagging.
• Define SEO and SEM strategies for digital products.

Required profile

• Proven ability to facilitate workshops and discussions with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in UX writing, content design and content strategy for digital platforms.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity and craftsmanship in digital copy.
• Conceptual understanding of how copy integrates with design and user experience.
• Experience collaborating with interaction designers, visual designers and UX researchers.
• Background in cross‑functional agile teams is a plus.
