Yield Enhancement Engineer

About the role

Micron is seeking a Yield Enhancement Engineer to drive rapid, data‑driven improvements in wafer yield. You will analyze inline, parametric, probe and experiment data to identify and resolve yield limiting factors, supporting the transition of next‑generation technologies from R&D to high‑volume production.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed yield data analysis and correlate findings with wafer fab processes.
• Communicate yield issues and corrective actions to fab process areas and support implementation.
• Collaborate with internal Yield Enhancement groups and multi‑area focus teams to solve complex yield problems.
• Publish clear Pareto analyses of yield limiters for specific part types.
• Integrate AI‑assisted tools into daily workflows to improve efficiency and quality.
• Support technology transfer from research to production as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Engineering or Science.
• Strong analytical, logical and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Effective communication skills for presenting data to large audiences.
• Growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning.
• Interest or experience in the semiconductor industry is preferred.
• Ability to apply AI‑enabled tools responsibly and effectively.
