3rd Shift Manufacturing Operations Manager

About the role

Applied Materials is a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions that enable semiconductor and advanced display manufacturing. The 3rd Shift Manufacturing Operations Manager will lead the night‑shift production team in Singapore, ensuring high‑quality output of capital equipment and systems. This role combines people leadership, process optimization and safety stewardship.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise employees across assembly, inspection, test and final test activities for capital equipment manufacturing.
• Prioritize production schedules based on manpower, equipment efficiency, capacity and material availability.
• Lead operational meetings, milestone reviews and performance‑metric tracking.
• Drive cycle‑time improvement, quality, safety and Lean initiatives.
• Ensure timely response to operational issues affecting customer satisfaction and compliance with vendor requirements.
• Oversee employee safety, environmental, health and safety training, and compliance with safety policies.
• Develop staff through training, career development plans and performance management.
• Support capacity‑optimization analysis and implement processes that capture real‑time production data.

Required profile

• Demonstrated supervisory experience with responsibility for daily production targets.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, Lean principles and quality systems.
• Ability to analyze operational data, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
• Commitment to safety, environmental and regulatory standards.
