6-Month Contract-to-Perm Electrical Engineer – Hospital Project

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical (or Mechanical) Engineer to support the design, construction and commissioning of a high‑acuity hospital in Singapore. The role starts as a six‑month contract with the possibility of conversion to a permanent position, offering exposure to complex healthcare infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Review electrical drawings, specifications and consultant submissions for compliance with clinical requirements, Singapore building codes and international healthcare standards.
• Identify and resolve technical gaps in design, ensuring LV/HV distribution, emergency power, UPS, lighting and building‑management systems meet operational needs.
• Attend site inspections, respond to RFIs, manage variation orders and coordinate with mechanical, structural and architectural teams to resolve cross‑discipline clashes.
• Support testing, commissioning and handover of all electrical systems, reviewing reports and ensuring deficiencies are rectified before practical completion.
• Maintain accurate documentation of submissions, approvals, test results and as‑built records, ensuring compliance with BCA, EMA, SCDF and MOH licensing standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 2–3 years of experience in design, construction or commissioning of electrical systems for large‑scale building projects.

Required skills

• Electrical system design and LV/HV distribution.
• Emergency power and UPS solutions.
• Lighting design and Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Testing and commissioning of electrical installations.
• Regulatory compliance (BCA, EMA, SCDF, MOH).
