Accountant – Finance Team (Singapore)

About the role

Graviton Research Capital is seeking a diligent Accountant to join its Finance team in Singapore. You will be responsible for maintaining an accurate general ledger, ensuring timely month‑end and year‑end closures, and supporting audits and tax filings.

Key responsibilities

• Execute month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Prepare and review accounts payable, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, bank wires and fluctuation analyses.
• Maintain standard operating procedures, financial records and documentation.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities within accounting, close and reconciliation processes.
• Liaise with banks, auditors, tax agents, government authorities and external service providers.
• Prepare financial statements and management reports.
• Monitor cash flow and bank balances to ensure sufficient operational funding.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience in audit firms and/or in‑house finance teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from a reputable university.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of financial reporting standards, regulatory compliance, GST and corporate tax requirements.
• High integrity and sense of responsibility.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for accounting and data analysis.
• Working knowledge of Python.
• Working knowledge of SQL.
