Accounts Assistant – Junior Finance Role

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accounts Assistant to join our finance team in Singapore. This junior‑level position offers a permanent contract and the chance to develop core accounting skills while supporting day‑to‑day financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Process invoices, match PO/GRN, prepare payment runs and respond to vendor queries.
• Issue invoices/credit notes, record receipts and follow up on unpaid balances.
• Record journal entries, accruals and pre‑payments; maintain up‑to‑date bank reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, use correct accounting codes and prepare staff reimbursement payments.
• Assist in preparing schedules, checking trial balances, writing simple variance notes and supporting required filings.
• Maintain organized files and update vendor and customer master data.
• Follow finance SOPs, internal controls and tax/GST requirements; support audits as needed.
• Prepare standard accounting reports and respond to ad‑hoc reporting requests.
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, customers and banks to resolve issues promptly.
• Utilise accounting software and spreadsheets; contribute to simple process improvements.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Accounting/Finance (LCCI/ACCA foundation is a plus).
• 1–2 years of experience in an accounting‑related role.
• Strong numerical aptitude, attention to detail and effective time management.

What we offer

• Basic salary up to SGD 5,000 per month plus variable bonus.
