Accounts Executive – AP & GL

About the role

The Accounts Executive will manage the Accounts Payable function and support month‑end general ledger closing for Eagle Eye Centre and its subsidiaries. Reporting to the Finance Manager and Assistant Finance Manager, the role ensures accurate processing of vendor invoices, payments and related journal entries.

Key responsibilities

• Process and record vendor invoices promptly, verifying against purchase orders and supporting documents.
• Prepare and execute supplier payments, including intercompany transfers, in line with payment terms.
• Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and maintain audit‑ready documentation.
• Monitor bank balances and ensure minimum working capital levels are maintained.
• Prepare and post AP‑related journal entries, accruals and pre‑payments during month‑end closing.
• Assist with broader month‑end activities such as inventory, deferred revenue, payroll, fixed assets and ROU assets.
• Support audit requests and ensure compliance with internal controls and statutory requirements.
• Prepare expense analyses for management and tax purposes.
• Assist with inventory and asset management tasks, including stock takes.
• Undertake ad‑hoc duties as assigned by finance leadership.

Required profile

• Diploma in Business Administration, Accountancy or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant post‑degree experience in accounting or finance.
• Meticulous, self‑motivated with a positive attitude and strong teamwork orientation.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and under time pressure.
• Willingness to work a 5.5‑day week with alternate Saturdays.
