Accounts Executive

About the role

Margin Wheeler is seeking a motivated Accounts Executive to join its accounting team in Singapore. The role offers hands‑on experience preparing full sets of accounts for a diverse portfolio of companies and rapid professional development in a fast‑moving environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare full sets of accounts, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and supporting schedules for multiple Singapore companies.
• Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile balance‑sheet accounts.
• Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts and financial statements.
• Process accounting adjustments, accruals, pre‑payments, depreciation and other closing entries.
• Assist with GST computation and submission, and support audit schedules.
• Review client accounting records, identify discrepancies, and communicate with clients to obtain documents.
• Maintain proper accounting records, meet agreed timelines, and use accounting software to improve efficiency.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• 1‑3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in an accounting firm or corporate services environment.
• Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Proactive attitude, willingness to take ownership of a portfolio and deliver accurate work quickly.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• QuickBooks or Xero (or similar accounting software).
• Microsoft Excel.
• Basic accounting principles and preparation of full sets of accounts.
