Accounts Executive – Receivables

About the role

The Accounts Executive (AR) manages and maintains accurate records of all revenue due to the hotel, including payments from guests, credit‑card companies, tenants and other receivables. The role ensures timely posting, reconciliation and monitoring of receivable transactions while supporting the Finance team in maintaining city‑ledger balances.

Key responsibilities

• Post all payments received from banks into the appropriate credit‑card and guest accounts and record daily transactions in the city ledger.
• Prepare and reconcile daily credit‑card transactions, handle enquiries, chargebacks and rebate processing.
• Maintain and monitor city‑ledger account balances, follow up on outstanding amounts and assist in resolving discrepancies.
• Maintain proper filing of all receivable‑related documents to ensure audit‑ready records.
• Collaborate with Credit and Finance teams, liaise with banks, credit‑card companies and internal departments to resolve payment issues.
• Utilise accounting systems such as Check SCM or SUN and ensure compliance with hotel financial policies and internal controls.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline (preferred).
• 1–2 years of experience in accounting or receivables functions.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial processing.
• Good communication skills in English and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
