Accounts & Payroll Assistant

About the role

The Accounts & Payroll Assistant will support the finance team of a construction company by handling day‑to‑day accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll tasks. This role ensures accurate financial records and timely processing of employee payments.

Key responsibilities

• Handle daily accounting and bookkeeping activities, including sales and purchase invoicing.
• Maintain Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) records and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Assist with GST computation, GST F5 preparation/filing, and monthly bank reconciliation.
• Prepare monthly cash‑flow, debtor/creditor reports, and support month‑end/year‑end closing.
• Process monthly payroll, including salary, overtime, allowances, deductions, and generate payslips.
• Manage CPF, SDL, foreign worker levy, insurance, and other statutory submissions.
• Coordinate with HR on attendance, OT, leave, and employee information.
• Liaise with external accountants/auditors for IRAS, CPF, and other statutory matters.
• Perform general administrative duties and ad‑hoc tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Diploma/LCCI or relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• 1–3 years of Singapore accounts/payroll experience, preferably in construction.
• Knowledge of GST, payroll, CPF, AP/AR and bank reconciliation.
• Detail‑oriented, responsible, and able to work independently.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
