Actuarial Executive (Junior)

About the role

Join Income Insurance's Actuarial Team as a Junior Actuarial Executive. You will collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to develop business‑oriented, customer‑focused insurance solutions while gaining exposure to regulatory reporting and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Support team deliveries such as User Acceptance Testing, business management reports, experience and profit monitoring, and reinsurance tenders.
• Assist in preparing regulatory reporting filings.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather insights from internal and external data sources for project delivery.
• Apply design‑thinking and agile frameworks to project execution.
• Ensure all deliverables adhere to departmental risk and compliance best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field.
• Progress toward actuarial credentials (e.g., SOA, IFoA, Institute of Actuaries Australia).
• At least 1 year of relevant experience; fresh graduates with relevant internships are welcome.
• Strong critical‑thinking, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with a clear, concise presentation style.
• Detail‑oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
• Adaptable to a dynamic work environment and open to new ways of working.
• Effective teamwork and collaboration skills.
