Actuarial Manager

About the role

The Actuarial Manager, Service is a client‑facing position responsible for leading end‑to‑end platform implementations for life insurers across the Asia‑Pacific region. You will work closely with presales, engineering and client actuarial teams to rebuild and validate actuarial models on the StrinGaze engine.

Key responsibilities

• Lead client implementations from requirements definition through model construction, validation, handover and post‑implementation support.
• Rebuild clients' existing actuarial models on the StrinGaze engine, ensuring numerical parity and documenting methodological differences.
• Develop pricing and valuation models for IFRS 17 measurement frameworks (GMM, VFA, PAA), Embedded Value and local statutory bases.
• Define, execute and present proofs of concept, establishing success criteria and benchmarking results for senior client actuaries.
• Investigate and resolve reconciliation differences against client baseline results.
• Deliver stochastic modelling workstreams, including fund projections, TVOG calculations and economic scenario generator integration.
• Translate recurring client requirements into platform enhancement proposals and support engineering delivery.
• Support presales activities such as technical solutioning, client workshops and RFP responses.
• Produce model specifications, delivery documentation and training materials for client teams.
• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to internal delivery methodology development.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related quantitative discipline.
• Qualified or near‑qualified Actuary (FSA, FIA, FIAA or equivalent).
• 5–8 years of actuarial experience within life or health insurance, with substantial experience in model rebuilding and implementation.
