Adjunct Assistant Professor - Forensic Psychology

About the role

Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore) is seeking an Adjunct Assistant Professor in Psychology for its School of Social Sciences. The appointment is in the Forensic Psychology specialization track of the Master of Science in Psychology (MScP) programme. It is open to an established scholar-practitioner with a doctorate in Psychology, Criminology or a related discipline, who can contribute substantially to teaching and professional training in forensic psychology.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the teaching of modules in the MScP
• Develop course materials and assessments
• Deliver classes as lectures or seminars
• Provide student consultation and mark Masters courses

Required profile

• A PhD, DPhil or equivalent doctorate in Psychology, Criminology or a closely related field
• Demonstrated expertise in one or more areas of Forensic Psychology
• Experience and/or interest in teaching postgraduate psychology students, with a strong commitment to teaching in Forensic Psychology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills relevant to teaching and pastoral care
• Willingness to work collaboratively with others on the programme and school objectives

Desirable criteria

• Professional or clinical practice experience in forensic psychology or criminal justice (e.g. expert assessment, offender rehabilitation, investigative interviewing)
• Professional registration, licensure or eligibility as a psychologist
• Supervision and professional training experience
• National or international professional standing, such as fellowships, leadership roles, editorial or reviewing activity
• Experience linking academia, clinical work, industry and professional sectors
