Adjunct Assistant Professor - Forensic Psychology

About the role

Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore) is inviting applications for an Adjunct Assistant Professor position in Psychology, within the Forensic Psychology specialization track of its Master of Science in Psychology (MScP) programme. The School of Social Sciences seeks an outstanding, collegial scholar-practitioner to teach and strengthen the university's profile in forensic psychology. The appointment is open to candidates of established standing with a doctorate-level qualification in Psychology, Criminology or a related discipline, especially those combining forensic, clinical and criminal justice practice and research experience.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the teaching of modules in the MScP
• Develop course materials and assessments
• Deliver classes as lectures or seminars
• Provide student consultation and mark Masters courses

Required profile

• A PhD, DPhil or equivalent doctorate in Psychology, Criminology or a closely related field
• Demonstrated expertise in one or more areas of Forensic Psychology
• Experience and/or interest in teaching postgraduate psychology students, with a strong commitment to teaching Forensic Psychology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills relevant to teaching and pastoral care
• Willingness to work collaboratively with others on the programme and school objectives

Desirable criteria

• Professional or clinical practice experience in forensic psychology or criminal justice (e.g. expert assessment, offender rehabilitation, investigative interviewing, criminal justice policy)
• Professional registration, licensure or eligibility as a psychologist
• Supervision and professional training experience
• National or international professional standing, such as fellowships, leadership roles, editorial or reviewing activity
• Experience linking academia, clinical work, industry and professional sectors
