After School Care Teacher (Chinese)

About the role

The After School Care Teacher will support primary school students with their daily homework, focusing on Chinese language and dictation. The role also involves supervising students, ensuring safety, and communicating progress to parents and centre leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Coach primary school students through daily homework, emphasizing Chinese and dictation.
• Supervise and check Chinese spelling and dictation.
• Teach life‑skills programmes in both English and Chinese.
• Transport students safely from nearby schools to the centre.
• Provide prompt feedback to centre leaders and parents on behaviour and progress.
• Maintain regular communication with parents.
• Handle administrative duties and keep the centre premises tidy.
• Follow up on fee payments and perform ad‑hoc tasks assigned by management.

Required profile

• Diploma in any field or WSQ Student Care certification.
• At least 1 year of experience in an independent student care centre.
• Familiarity with the MOE primary school syllabus (advantageous).
• Strong command of Chinese (spoken and written) to coach at primary level.
• Proactive communicator with parents and centre team.
• Positive, patient, and enjoys working with young children.
• Dependable with strong integrity and work ethic.
• Neat, tidy and calm demeanour.
