AI Engineer – AI Apprenticeship Programme

About the role

AI Singapore is seeking a motivated AI Engineer to drive its AI Apprenticeship Programme (AIAP) hosted at Nanyang Technological University. You will lead AI‑based projects, mentor apprentices, and help shape Singapore’s national AI capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Execute tasks across AIAP, AIAP (Industry), LADP, and AIIP initiatives.
• Train and mentor AI apprentices during deep‑skilling and project phases.
• Lead solution development for internal and external AI projects, including research and technology maintenance.
• Plan and manage AIAP recruitment, syllabus updates, and industry outreach.
• Support community‑building activities such as talks, workshops, and seminars.

Required profile

• Strong portfolio demonstrating end‑to‑end delivery of AI/ML solutions.
• Practical experience applying machine‑learning algorithms to NLP, computer vision, or tabular data.
• Hands‑on experience with generative AI, large language models, prompt engineering, and retrieval‑augmented generation.
• Passion for mentoring and communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences.
