AI Mission Engineer (AI Transformation Consultant)

About the role

NCS, an AI tech services company and subsidiary of the Singtel Group, is looking for AI Mission Engineers to join its AI Mission Engineering Team. These consultants discover, create and drive AI transformation opportunities, working directly with clients to turn friction in their processes into measurable business impact. They act as the single point of contact, translating complex AI possibilities into clear business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Identify AI opportunities by understanding client processes, pain points and strategic objectives
• Lead discovery sessions to define the real problem behind stated symptoms
• Create business cases that articulate value, ROI and transformation potential
• Own proof-of-concept initiatives from scoping through execution
• Serve as trusted advisor and single point of contact throughout the AI journey
• Drive change management, user adoption and measurable outcomes, not just code delivery
• Collaborate with AI Natives, AI Factory, AI Integration and AI Institute teams
• Contribute to industry-specific AI strategies and share insights within the Mission Engineering community

Required profile

• Deep knowledge in one or more sectors such as defence, homeland security, public service, education, healthcare, transport, telco, financial services or commercial
• Relevant experience in consulting, business transformation, solution architecture or client-facing technology roles
• Track record of turning business problems into technology solutions and influencing C-level stakeholders
• Background in change management, adoption strategies or transformation programs is highly valued

Required skills

• Conceptual understanding of AI, machine learning, generative AI, agentic workflows and analytics
• Ability to understand architectures such as RAG, vector databases and LLMs without coding
• Familiarity with AI use cases like knowledge retrieval, automation, copilots and intelligent agents
• Understanding of data governance, AI safety, security and responsible AI
• Ability to explain complex AI concepts to non-technical business leaders
