AI/ML Specialist – 12‑Month Contract

About the role

The AI/ML Specialist will design, develop, and deploy advanced artificial intelligence solutions that solve complex business problems. Working with cross‑functional teams, you will apply cutting‑edge techniques to enhance products, optimise operations, and improve customer experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable AI/ML solutions using Generative AI, personalization, image/speech recognition, best‑next‑action, and time‑series forecasting.
• Own end‑to‑end model lifecycle: problem definition, data collection, feature engineering, training, validation, and production deployment.
• Research and evaluate latest academic advances, testing novel ideas for new business capabilities.
• Define deployment strategies on cloud infrastructure, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Lead technical design discussions, conduct architecture reviews, and enforce code quality, CI/CD, and operational excellence.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute thought leadership in AI/ML forums.

Required profile

• PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or a related quantitative field.
• Demonstrated research record with publications or patents (highly desirable).
• Extensive hands‑on experience delivering production‑scale AI/ML solutions at enterprise level.
• Deep expertise in at least one domain such as Generative AI, deep learning, speech recognition, multimodal LLMs, reinforcement learning, recommendation systems, or advanced time‑series forecasting.

• Programming: Python, Java, Scala, Julia.
• Machine‑learning frameworks: TensorFlow, Keras, Scikit‑Learn, H2O.ai, XGBoost.
• Orchestration: Airflow, Kubeflow Pipelines, MLRun.
• Containerisation & orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos, Marathon.
• Model serving: Kubeflow KF‑Serving, TensorFlow Serving, Seldon‑Core, MLflow.
• Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch.
