Project Manager – Public Sector Application Modernization

About the role

Xtremax is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead complex application modernization initiatives for public sector clients. The role involves end‑to‑end delivery, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring projects meet quality, timeline, and budget expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of application modernization projects, aligning with client objectives, timelines, and budgets.
• Engage with public sector stakeholders to gather requirements, manage expectations, and ensure satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review business requirements and IT solution specifications, develop detailed project plans, and determine timeframes, costing, and procedures.
• Execute processes from request for proposal through development, testing, and final delivery.
• Monitor project deliverables for quality, productivity, and consistency; conduct timely reviews and recommend schedule, cost, or resource adjustments.
• Document and track scope, changes, issues, and risks; manage resources for requirements gathering, functional specification, testing, and user training.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure realistic and implementable requirements.
• Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to influence and achieve business goals while adhering to quality standards and best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university.
• 5–7 years of professional experience, including at least 4 years in project management leading web‑application or CMS projects.
• Strong understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and public‑sector procurement/compliance requirements.
• Experience working with government agencies and delivering large‑scale modernization initiatives.
• Proven ability to write software requirement specifications and technical design documents.
• Preferred certifications: PMP, ITPM, and cloud platform certifications.
