Aircon Technician – Data Centre (CRAC/HCMV)

About the role

The Aircon Technician will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting cooling systems in data centre environments. This role involves travelling between sites and ensuring that mission‑critical air‑conditioning equipment operates reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine cooling system maintenance, servicing, and troubleshooting for CRAC and HCMV units.
• Diagnose hardware and software issues, provide fixes, and perform equipment power‑up/down procedures.
• Respond promptly to emergency calls and email alerts, completing thorough service reports after each visit.
• Provide on‑site instruction using Operation & Maintenance Manuals and maintain solid client relationships.
• Monitor contractor operations to ensure safety and operational protocols are followed.
• Plan, execute, and update daily work schedules, and report progress on a weekly or monthly basis.

Required profile

• Minimum Nitec qualification in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Practical expertise in cooling systems and preventative maintenance engineering, preferably with data‑centre cooling solutions.
• Understanding of CRAC, HCMV, and water detection systems (WDS) or related infrastructure.
• Willingness to travel and be stationed site‑to‑site as required.
