Analyst / Associate, Retail Partnerships and Distribution

About the role

Manulife's Asset Management distribution team is looking for an Analyst / Associate to help grow its retail distribution business across private banks and retail banking partners. You will develop new distribution relationships, deepen existing strategic partnerships and influence product adoption across a wide range of investment solutions, working with local and regional stakeholders to increase assets under management and market share.

Key responsibilities

• Drive gross sales and net sales performance against annual targets.
• Acquire new retail and private bank distribution partners and increase share of wallet within existing ones.
• Manage the end-to-end product onboarding and sales process.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers in distribution networks.
• Deliver product presentations and investment updates, and support distributors with training, education and sales enablement.
• Partner with regional and local stakeholders on business initiatives, build and report on the sales pipeline, and monitor market trends and investor demand.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in asset management, wealth management, banking, financial services, relationship management, sales or business development is advantageous; fresh graduates with a strong interest in investments and financial markets are encouraged to apply.
• Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Self-motivated, with a growth mindset and eagerness to learn.
• Understanding of, or willingness to learn, the regulatory frameworks governing investment distribution.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with private banks, retail banks, wealth management firms or other financial distribution channels.
• Knowledge of equities, fixed income, multi-asset and solutions products.
• CFA, CAIA, CISI, IBF, CMFAS or equivalent investment qualifications, or progress toward them.
• Experience launching new funds onto distributor platforms and a strong understanding of Asian retail fund distribution markets.
