Analyst/Associate – Financing Group (Asia Pacific)

About the role

Santander Corporate & Investment Banking’s Financing Group in Asia Pacific is seeking an Analyst or Associate to support the growth of its regional financing franchise. The role involves working across a broad range of financing solutions and collaborating with senior team members and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Support origination, structuring and execution of financing transactions across infrastructure, project finance, acquisition, leveraged finance, real estate, asset finance, syndicated loans, DCM, fund finance and securitisation.
• Prepare financial analysis, models, credit analysis, rating considerations, comparable analysis, sensitivity cases, risk assessment and transaction return analysis.
• Assist in preparing client presentations, market updates, financing proposals, internal credit papers, committee materials, term sheets and other documentation.
• Coordinate due diligence, internal approvals, documentation and closing activities with internal stakeholders and external advisers.
• Support syndication and DCM execution, analysing market conditions, pricing, investor/lender feedback and distribution strategy.
• Monitor existing transactions, exposure, covenant compliance, waivers, refinancing opportunities and periodic credit reviews.

Required profile

• Minimum 1-3 years (Analyst) or 3-5 years (Associate) of relevant experience in investment banking, capital markets, project finance, structured finance or leveraged finance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering or a related discipline preferred.
• Strong credit, financial analysis and modelling abilities with capacity to assess cash‑flow profiles, downside scenarios, risk allocation and transaction returns.
• Good understanding of financing documentation and due‑diligence processes.
