Android Software Engineer – Global Payment

About the role

ByteDance’s Global Payment team is looking for an Android Software Engineer to help build a highly integrated payment product that powers TikTok and other platforms. You will work on a heavy‑interaction mobile experience, ensuring performance, security and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Build modular, reusable Android components and features.
• Optimize rendering performance to deliver a superior user experience.
• Improve mobile design and implementation processes for quality and efficiency.
• Conduct code optimization for scalability, reliability, security and performance.
• Collaborate with product design, product management and engineering teams.

Required profile

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience in native Android development.
• Proficiency in Java or Kotlin.
• Ability to understand and debug large, complex codebases.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a large‑scale internet business (preferred).
• Payment domain knowledge is a plus.
