APAC Tax Lead

About the role

The Tax Lead – Asia Pacific will be the primary tax contact for StoneX’s operations across the region. Reporting to the Global Head of Tax, you will provide technical guidance, manage compliance obligations and support strategic business initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee corporate income tax, GST/VAT, and other indirect tax compliance, filings and payments across multiple Asia Pacific jurisdictions.
• Coordinate regional tax planning, provision calculations, deferred‑tax accounting and effective‑tax‑rate analysis.
• Manage transfer‑pricing documentation, intercompany agreements and benchmarking activities.
• Lead tax audits, controversy matters and liaison with external advisers and tax authorities.
• Develop and maintain tax processes, controls and automation initiatives, including the use of AI tools.

Required profile

• Degree in accounting, finance, law, taxation, economics or related field.
• Professional tax qualification (e.g., SCTP, CPA, Chartered Accountant) or equivalent.
• Extensive corporate tax experience in a multinational, Big 4 or law‑firm environment, preferably within financial services.
• Strong knowledge of corporate income tax, withholding tax, transfer pricing and international tax principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to operate in a global matrix organization.
