Application Developer, Learning Technology & Services

About the role

Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) is hiring an Application Developer for its Learning Technology & Services team. The role delivers innovative, secure, scalable and reliable software that enhances the student learning experience, supports digital transformation and enables data-driven decisions. It also explores emerging technologies such as Generative AI, Agentic AI, intelligent automation and learning analytics, and helps organise cluster-level initiatives and events.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy eLearning applications, LMS integrations, web and mobile apps, cloud solutions and AI-powered assistants
• Integrate systems via RESTful APIs, LTI standards and cloud platforms
• Ensure software is secure and production-ready: secure coding, code reviews, vulnerability assessments and security testing
• Troubleshoot, tune performance and analyse root causes; support CI/CD pipelines, DevOps and data governance compliance
• Research and implement GenAI, large language models, Agentic AI and intelligent automation, including proof-of-concepts and EdTech trend monitoring
• Work with stakeholders and vendors, gather requirements, provide technical consultation, documentation and training
• Support departmental cluster-level initiatives and events

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline
• At least 2 years of full-stack software development experience
• Experience designing and delivering user-centric digital products
• Experience across the full SDLC and integrating applications with enterprise systems and APIs
