Application Engineer – Semiconductor Equipment

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking an Application Engineer to lead product application roadmaps and deliver technical solutions for semiconductor and display customers in Singapore. The role combines deep technical expertise with customer engagement to drive innovation and system performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead product application roadmap based on deep understanding of customer technologies and gaps.
• Technically lead complex application activities, including on‑site evaluations, demos and statement‑of‑work execution.
• Interface with customers to analyse technical requirements, define and approve application support plans for installations.
• Create and lead new methodologies to optimise system performance for specific applications.
• Conduct technical review meetings and transfer new application capabilities from product division to customer support teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or science.
• Experience in semiconductor process engineering, especially CVD, PVD or Etch.
• Proven ability to act as a trusted technical advisor and manage projects, statements of work and schedules.
• Strong communication and stakeholder coordination across product development, service and customer organizations.
