Applications Engineer Trainer – TechEdge

About the role

The Applications Engineer Trainer will deliver Instructor‑Led Training (ILT) on TechEdge AIX applications for internal Applied Materials personnel. The role focuses on both intermediate and advanced courses, covering UVA modeling, data‑collection plans and fault‑defect classification.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct monthly ILT sessions for intermediate UVA modeling and advanced data‑collection plans.
• Maintain and update training materials, including ILT decks and web‑based training (WBT) courses.
• Manage training schedules, student registrations, completion reporting and grading.
• Travel up to 50 % of the time to deliver on‑site training at service‑agreement sites.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (preferred).
• At least 2 years of hardware experience on semiconductor equipment, preferably 300 mm or display fab tools.
• Experience in training or mentoring technical staff.
• Ability to work independently as a self‑starter without direct supervision.

Required skills

• TechEdge AIX application knowledge, including UVA modeling and data‑collection plans.
• FDC (Fault Defect Classification) expertise, E3/FSS/AIX systems.
• Advanced analytics concepts and AIX Dashboard usage.
• Understanding of equipment templates, instances, sensors, faults and constants.
