Assistant Baker – Traditional Nonya Kueh Production

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Baker to join our production team and help create authentic Nonya kueh and other baked goods. You will work side‑by‑side with experienced bakers to ensure consistent quality, safety, and efficiency in a fast‑paced bakery environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing, mixing, baking, steaming and finishing traditional Nonya kueh and other bakery items.
• Measure and weigh ingredients accurately according to standard recipes.
• Operate bakery equipment safely and perform routine cleaning and maintenance.
• Monitor product quality throughout production to meet company standards.
• Help with decorating, portioning, packaging and labeling of finished products.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of workstations in line with food‑safety regulations.
• Track inventory levels and support stock replenishment of ingredients and packaging materials.
• Collaborate with the team to meet daily production targets and delivery schedules.
• Support seasonal promotions and high‑volume production during festive periods.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience in a bakery, central kitchen or food‑manufacturing setting (preferred).
• Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks and stand for long periods.
• Capable of working efficiently in a fast‑paced environment and meeting tight deadlines.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays when needed.
