Assistant Cook – Full Time

About the role

The Assistant Cook supports the kitchen team by ensuring a clean, organized environment and assisting the Cook with food preparation and service. This full‑time position involves hands‑on work in a fast‑paced restaurant setting across Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Cook with food preparation tasks such as cleaning, cutting, chopping, and peeling ingredients.
• Clean and sanitise preparation areas, utensils, and equipment in line with hygiene and safety standards.
• Wash, disinfect, and store kitchen tools and appliances properly.
• Receive, weigh, store, and manage inventory of food supplies.
• Operate kitchen appliances including mixers, ovens, cutters, and knives.
• Maintain inventory records, unload deliveries, and organise the storeroom.
• Contribute to menu development and improve existing dishes.
• Monitor kitchen expenses, food costs, and staffing within budget limits.

Required profile

• Ability to work shift patterns, including evenings and weekends.
• Experience cooking North Indian cuisine.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean work environment.

Required skills

• Food preparation techniques (cutting, chopping, peeling).
• Operating kitchen appliances (mixers, ovens, cutters, knives).
• Inventory management and stock handling.
• Basic budgeting for kitchen expenses.
