Assistant Cook

About the role

The Assistant Cook supports daily kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, assembling dishes, and maintaining hygiene standards. This position works closely with the kitchen manager to ensure smooth service across all locations island‑wide.

Key responsibilities

• Wash, peel, chop, mix ingredients and portion, assemble, and package food items according to SOPs and recipes.
• Prepare workstations, operate basic equipment such as mixers and ovens, and execute cooking tasks as directed.
• Ensure food quality, presentation, and portion control while adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Receive, store, and organize ingredients; monitor stock levels and assist with inventory checks.
• Maintain sanitation of workstations, utensils, equipment, and overall kitchen area.
• Work efficiently to meet production schedules, minimize waste, and support the kitchen team.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience in food preparation or a related kitchen role.
• Ability to follow instructions, work collaboratively in a team, and adapt to a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail for quality and hygiene standards.
