Assistant Director, Ecosystem Development

About the role

The Assistant Director, Ecosystem Development will help shape NTU’s deep‑tech and venture ecosystem. Reporting to the Innovation & Entrepreneurship office, you will work closely with researchers, startups, corporates and investors to turn breakthrough technologies into scalable ventures.

Key responsibilities

• Design, launch and manage high‑impact innovation programmes for NTU researchers and other autonomous universities.
• Develop corporate engagement strategies to pilot open‑innovation initiatives with deep‑tech talent.
• Identify, attract and nurture early‑stage teams, guiding them toward fellowship and acceleration pathways.
• Build and sustain a vibrant community of mentors, advisors, investors and industry partners.
• Curate deep‑tech teams for fellowship support and oversee programme administration, resource allocation and milestone tracking.
• Produce data‑driven performance reports and strategic insights for NTU leadership.
• Create compelling content and success stories to showcase ecosystem achievements.
• Contribute to cross‑functional projects within the Office of Innovation & Entrepreneurship.

Required profile

• Proven experience in ecosystem building, startup support or innovation programme management.
• Strong network within academia, industry and the venture capital community.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to analyse programme data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
