Assistant Director, Finance

About the role

Our client, a multi‑concept retail and operational group, is looking for an Assistant Director of Finance to report directly to top management and board stakeholders. The role provides end‑to‑end financial stewardship, treasury management, internal controls and drives digital transformation across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly financial closures, management reporting and board updates.
• Evaluate revenues, cost variances and operational KPIs to support commercial growth.
• Oversee cash‑flow forecasting, working capital, banking relationships and treasury management.
• Direct internal controls, tax compliance (GST, Corporate Tax), statutory audits and risk‑mitigation frameworks.
• Drive finance automation, AI adoption and system integration of POS/ERP platforms.
• Partner with C‑suite and department heads on new business ventures, pricing strategies and profitability models.
• Build, mentor and scale high‑performing finance teams while fostering financial discipline.

Required profile

• Proven senior finance leadership experience in multi‑site, high‑volume consumer operations (e.g., F&B, retail, hospitality).
• Strong capability in financial planning & analysis, commercial modelling and cost‑efficiency initiatives.
• Successful track record of leading ERP/POS integration and digitalising financial workflows.
• Exceptional executive presence and ability to advise C‑suite leadership and external advisors.
