Assistant Director, Financial Planning & Analysis (EG)

About the role

Woodlands Hospital, a new integrated acute and community hospital in Singapore, is hiring an Assistant Director, Financial Planning & Analysis (EG). The role provides overall governance, financial control and leadership for pricing and costing of services, revenue management, cost recovery analysis and system implementation initiatives, and acts as escalation point for complex operational, financial and system matters.

Key responsibilities

• Support organisational strategies financially and partner on initiatives to ensure their financial viability
• Review, benchmark and simulate yearly fee revision plans and pricing of new services, then operationalise fee changes across systems
• Review and approve charge code update requests and guide the team through the process
• Ensure revenue integrity by analysing high-risk leakage areas and reviewing reconciliation reports between services rendered and charged
• Review services costing on an ongoing basis to identify cost optimisation and efficiency opportunities
• Guide the team and work with IT on billing system changes, such as updates from MOH policy changes, and approve billing system service requests and take part in user testing
• Oversee month-end closing (payout computations, overhead allocations, average bill size analysis) and support annual budgeting and projections
• Guide the team on ad-hoc pricing requests, such as for executive health screening or interco SLAs
• Lead and guide team members on costing and billing projects as institution representative

Required profile

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Statistics, Business Analytics or a related field
• Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience; at least 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Experience in product and service costing, pricing strategy development and governance
• Experience in systems implementation, enhancement and support
• Healthcare industry experience in financial planning & analysis or management reporting is an added advantage
