Assistant Director - Integrated Care Strategy

About the role

NHG is looking for an Assistant Director to support the Director in developing integrated care models that position NHG as a regional health manager, aligned with national priorities. The role acts as key strategic secretariat for several clinical steering committees, helping build evidence-based care bundles and models that deliver appropriate, value-based care to NHG's patients and population.

Key responsibilities

• Co-drive clinical care strategy and workplans with NHG clinical committees (e.g. Diabetes and Metabolic Health, Respiratory Health, End of Life) to develop care models and pathways.
• Plan, implement and lead integrated care programmes under the Clinical Steering Committees, working with internal and external stakeholders so milestones and outcomes stay on track.
• Help secure resources for integrated care programmes from pilot through to mainstreaming.
• Plan and lead annual community education and outreach initiatives such as NHG World Lung Day and NHG World Diabetes Day.
• Guide the development of a team of strategic secretariat staff managing the clinical steering committees.
• Carry out other tasks assigned by the Supervisor.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree from a recognised tertiary institution.
• At least 5-8 years of relevant experience in healthcare institutions, agencies or ministries; a healthcare background is preferred.
• Strong planning, analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
