Assistant Director, Technology Strategic Planning and Integration

About the role

The Assistant Director supports the hospital's digital transformation agenda by leading the planning, design and implementation of technology-enabled services that improve patient and workforce experiences. The role drives technology and operations informatics initiatives, develops future-state operating models and ensures technology investments deliver operational, service and organisational results.

Key responsibilities

• Redesign patient, caregiver and staff journeys through technology-enabled services and develop digital service blueprints, self-service and process simplification opportunities.
• Drive adoption and optimisation of digital services and platforms, partnering with clinical, operational and support services on transformation roadmaps.
• Plan and design technology-enabled workflows, smart hospital systems and enterprise digital capabilities, and lead operations informatics to improve workflow efficiency, resource use and capacity planning.
• Support implementation and optimisation of enterprise systems and smart systems, and coordinate technology planning for smart hospital initiatives.
• Build analytics and reporting capabilities, set performance measurement frameworks and benefits realisation approaches, and drive continuous improvement through data-driven evaluation.
• Lead change management, coordinate cross-divisional collaboration, build vendor and partner relationships, and facilitate stakeholder engagement and business case formulation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management, Information Technology, Business, Engineering or a related discipline; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 12-15 years of relevant experience in healthcare operations, digital transformation, technology implementation, service redesign, enterprise systems, smart hospital planning or related fields.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex cross-functional transformation, technology-enabled change or large-scale operational improvement initiatives.
• Experience across operational, clinical, facilities and technology teams.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of healthcare operations, workflow redesign, service delivery and change management.
• Programme management, stakeholder engagement, strategic planning and problem-solving.
• Healthcare technology, operations informatics, smart hospital planning and digital service transformation experience is advantageous.
