Assistant Editor

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Assistant Editor to join our editorial team in Singapore. This position offers the chance to shape high‑quality content for leading trade magazines covering travel and business events across Asia. You will work closely with internal and external partners to deliver compelling stories for both print and digital platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Editorial Director to define editorial strategies and produce engaging content for the travel and business events sectors.
• Oversee and manage content creation, assigning stories to correspondents and team members.
• Maintain publishing schedules, liaising with stakeholders to ensure timely production.
• Support digital platform development and coordinate with Sales and Marketing for seamless content integration.
• Conduct research, interviews, and write in‑depth articles on industry trends, destination features, and event coverage.
• Represent the publication at press conferences, media fam trips, trade shows, exhibitions, and conferences locally and internationally.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of editorial experience, preferably in travel, meetings/events, or a B2B environment.
• Exceptional command of English with native‑level writing and editing ability.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to review copy and layouts for accuracy.
• Proven multitasking skills to handle multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced setting.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships with team members and industry professionals.
