Assistant Engineer – Jurong (5‑day week, up to SGD 4000)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Assistant Engineer to support our manufacturing operations in Jurong. You will work closely with engineering, quality, production and supply‑chain teams to ensure smooth daily production and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Assist engineers with daily production, build activities and manufacturing processes.
• Maintain and update work instructions, MBOM, process flows and floor layouts.
• Support engineering change orders (ECO/ECR) and ensure proper implementation on the shop floor.
• Monitor production data (yield, cycle time, defects) to identify improvement opportunities.
• Troubleshoot production issues, conduct root‑cause analysis and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Perform production testing such as functional circuit testing (FCT) and system testing.
• Modify and validate test scripts based on product or engineering changes.
• Carry out basic component‑level rework and soldering (SMT and through‑hole) for failure analysis and unit recovery.
• Ensure production documentation is accurate, auditable and traceable.

Required profile

• Diploma or ITE in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing assembly.
• Proven ability to meet schedules and follow defined specifications.
• Basic problem‑solving methodology experience.
