Assistant Manager, Consumer Services & Investigation (Systems Governance Branch)

About the role

This role sits within the Data Innovation & Protection Group (DIPG), which develops data-driven technologies, engages with the ecosystem and supports the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC). The Systems Governance Branch manages the IT systems used by staff and public users, including the national Do Not Call (DNC) Registry and an in-house case management system. The incumbent oversees system maintenance, manages system changes and contributes to planning and implementing future enhancements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage system operations to ensure continual availability and performance
• Collaborate with stakeholders and oversee support services, acting as point of contact for escalating operational issues
• Analyse business requirements, propose solutions and translate them to vendors and stakeholders
• Manage vendors on system development and maintenance, ensuring quality and timely delivery
• Assist in preparing project reports and dashboards, and provide project management support (progress, resources, risks)
• Support incident management processes and communicate with stakeholders
• Support the team in planning, implementing and maintaining divisional IT software and systems, and take part in enterprise change management

Required profile

• Background in Computer Science, Information Science, Project Management or a related field
• 3-7 years of relevant working experience
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Resourceful, self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team
