Assistant Manager – Finance (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Manager – Finance on a contract basis to oversee the full spectrum of accounting activities for multiple business units across Singapore. You will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal controls, and our Standard Operating Procedures while supporting the Finance Manager in day‑to‑day operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post monthly journal entries within reporting timelines.
• Perform inter‑company reconciliations and upload financial data to Tagetik for group reporting.
• Liaise with business units and Finance Operations to record revenue and expenses accurately.
• Analyse monthly P&L variances and produce explanatory commentary.
• Prepare balance‑sheet schedules, tax schedules, and supporting documentation for the Group Tax Department.
• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and ensure cash record accuracy.
• Support annual stock‑take, incentive calculations, and other financial reporting requirements.
• Assist the Finance Manager in supervising team members and driving process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Accountancy, or partially qualified ACCA.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience, preferably in an MNC or healthcare environment.
• Prior audit experience and familiarity with shared‑services settings are advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of month‑end closing, financial reporting, bank and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and time‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Tagetik or similar financial consolidation tools.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
