Assistant Manager - Finance

About the role

NHG is looking for an Assistant Manager to support the Group's financial stewardship through accurate consolidation, analysis and preparation of financial reports for Senior Management and stakeholders. The role also involves working with MOH/MOHH and institutions on government funding matters, providing ad-hoc financial support for strategic initiatives and supporting day-to-day tasks within the finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and report the financial performance (actuals, forecast and budget) of institutions within the organisation
• Engage MOH/MOHH on subvention-related queries, funding gaps and other finance matters
• Monitor and follow up on subvention matters and funding appeals, keeping timely updates and proper documentation
• Collate and analyse data to support management decisions, such as tracking AR days, bad debt write-offs and productivity ratios
• Carry out other ad-hoc duties as required and work collaboratively with team members to meet departmental objectives

Required profile

• At least 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience
• Degree in Accountancy or equivalent
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with good writing and interpersonal skills
• Accountable, proactive and an independent team player with planning and coordination skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
