Assistant Manager (Financial Services) – Tax

About the role

This position offers a financial services tax professional the chance to support the development of a dedicated tax group. The Assistant Manager will work closely with Managers and Partners to help banking, insurance, payments, wealth, asset‑management and family‑office clients meet local and overseas tax obligations, structure affairs efficiently and apply for available tax incentives.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and review personal tax, GST and corporate tax compliance and advisory work for financial services clients.
• Ensure timely delivery of high‑quality tax services and maintain strong client relationships.
• Oversee compliance management, forecast workload, delegate tasks and coach junior staff.
• Identify and pursue business development opportunities, including proposal preparation.
• Collaborate with internal teams across the Forvis Mazars network and support recruitment efforts when needed.

Required profile

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance or related field; SCTP membership preferred.
• 4‑5 years of business tax experience with financial services clients (banking, insurance, payments, wealth or asset management, family offices).
• Strong understanding of Singapore tax policies for wealth and asset‑management industry.
• Leadership, project‑management and analytical abilities.
• Excellent spoken and written English, team‑player attitude and motivation for career growth.
