Assistant Manager, Group Hospitality

About the role

The Assistant Manager, Group Hospitality supports the management of hospitality services at the institutional level. The incumbent oversees vendor performance, ensures contractual and regulatory compliance, and drives service quality and operational effectiveness across the Group Hospitality portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the assigned Group Hospitality portfolio, covering Housekeeping, Waste Management, Pest Control, Landscaping, Linen & Laundry and Portering Services.
• Drive vendor performance to meet contractual KPIs, service standards and stakeholder expectations.
• Ensure compliance with organisational policies, regulatory requirements, audit standards and workplace safety regulations.
• Monitor service quality and implement improvements to enhance operational effectiveness and user experience.
• Work with partners and service providers to resolve issues, close service gaps and support operational needs.
• Oversee contract governance, performance reporting and documentation to ensure accountability and audit readiness.
• Support budgeting, procurement and financial management to optimise resource use and value for money.
• Lead or take part in projects that strengthen service delivery, operational resilience and organisational outcomes.
• Build a collaborative, high-performing team through coaching, engagement and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Recognised degree, preferably in contract management in a healthcare, hotel or horticulture setting, or Certified Practicing Horticulturist (CPH), or a related field.
• Experience in contract, vendor or service management, preferably in healthcare, hospitality or facilities environments.
• Demonstrated leadership and project management capabilities.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities.
