Assistant Manager, Land Management (Environmental Team)

About the role

This role sits within a team that supports Singapore's land management and environmental goals. You will help develop environmental policies, frameworks and standards, oversee environmental projects and work with public and private sector stakeholders to inform land management decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage environmental projects, including soil and groundwater assessment and remediation projects
• Help develop and implement environmental quality standards for Singapore
• Contribute to land and environmental management policies and frameworks, turning technical findings into practical land-use decisions
• Maintain a database of environmental quality data used for land planning, maintenance and regulation
• Work with government agencies, industry partners, consultants and other stakeholders, and facilitate cross-agency collaboration
• Prepare tender documents and manage procurement of consultants and contractors
• Manage project finances, including budget tracking, forecasting and reporting

Required profile

• Background in Environment Engineering, Chemical Engineering or another related quantitative discipline
• Able to work independently while being a team player
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with stakeholders
• Problem-solving and analytical skills, able to interpret technical information
• Experience in environmental assessment, soil and groundwater investigations or environmental management is an advantage; project management experience is also welcomed
• Fresh graduates interested in environmental and land management are also considered
