Assistant Manager, Open Science and Research Services

About the role

The Student and Academic Services Department at NTU is seeking an Assistant Manager for Open Science and Research Services. The role supports researchers by monitoring research impact, managing open‑science initiatives, and enhancing research visibility across the university.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the university’s article processing charge (APC) services.
• Manage and improve data integration and automation for research publications and bibliometric data in systems such as Elsevier Pure.
• Conduct data analysis and create visualisations to inform service strategies and communicate research impact.
• Design and deliver training and guidance materials for faculty and administrators on Research Information Management Systems (RIMS).
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors to streamline processes, support research data management, and promote best practices in impact reporting.

Required profile

• Degree in any discipline.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience with AI tools for data storytelling and video‑editing software is advantageous.
• Service‑oriented with strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Organised, detail‑oriented, and able to manage time and priorities under tight deadlines.
