Assistant Manager / Senior Executive, Research Grant Administration

About the role

Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapore, specifically the College of Computing and Data Science, is recruiting an Assistant Manager / Senior Executive for Research Grant Administration. The role leads and manages a team of MSOs supporting the Research Office and oversees research grants, research finance, research staff hiring and research integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of MSOs to support the operations of the Research Office.
• Oversee research grants administration (including RCAs), research finance, research staff hiring, and ensure corporate governance of research projects and research integrity.
• Organise research events such as seminars, conferences and workshops, and handle research industry collaborations.
• Handle research data reporting, including statistics and data required by NTU offices, external agencies, government organisations and P&T/contract renewals and faculty appraisals.

Required profile

• At least a bachelor's degree.
• Preferably at least 5 years' experience in research administration or graduate programme management in a tertiary education institution, with at least 3 years of supervisory experience leading a dynamic administrative team.
• High level of commitment and initiative.

Required skills

• Knowledge of financial accounting preferred.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and engagement skills.
• Strong analytical skills, able to solve complex issues and work under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
