Assistant Manager – Technical Operations (ACMV)

About the role

The Office of Development and Facilities Management at NTU seeks an Assistant Manager to oversee the daily operation, preventive and corrective maintenance of Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV) systems across the campus. You will collaborate with internal users and external contractors to ensure systems are safe, reliable, and compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and follow up on ACMV maintenance activities for assigned areas.
• Liaise with users and contractors to support routine servicing and rectification works.
• Supervise and inspect contractors’ work on site, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot ACMV service failures and respond promptly to breakdowns and user queries.
• Assist in managing ACMV maintenance programmes to maintain safe and optimal operating conditions.
• Provide technical support for new ACMV installations and A&A projects.
• Monitor chilled water consumption and support energy‑efficiency initiatives.
• Support ACMV‑related upgrade and improvement projects as assigned.

Required profile

• Degree in Building & Facilities Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance, design, or installation of mechanical building services.
• Good knowledge of ACMV systems, local codes of practice, and tender processes.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective stakeholder collaboration.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to a dynamic environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS‑Office applications for analysis and reporting.
• Skilled in AutoCAD for engineering drawings.
