Assistant Producer (Chinese Drama Production)

About the role

The Assistant Producer will support the Producer and Executive Producer throughout the entire lifecycle of Chinese drama projects, from pre‑production planning to post‑production delivery. This role works closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth execution of all production activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Producer and Executive Producer with pre‑production, production, and post‑production tasks.
• Coordinate liaison activities between internal production units and external companies.
• Prepare and break down finalized scripts, schedule meetings, scout locations, and attend casting, set‑design, and rehearsal sessions.
• Provide on‑site support during filming, managing crew, cast, and crowd control.
• Handle requisition, preparation, and continuity of props and costumes.
• Support post‑production processes, including dialogue dubbing, visual effects, and credit roll preparation.

Required profile

• GCE "A" level or Diploma in any field with a strong interest in media.
• At least 1 year of experience in TV or film production, or a strong passion for the industry.
• Willingness to work irregular hours when required.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking Chinese.
• Basic proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
