Assistant Producer (Tamil Productions)

About the role

The Assistant Producer will support the Producer/Director in delivering television programmes across a range of genres. This role involves coordinating schedules, scouting talent, and ensuring smooth studio and on‑location recordings for Tamil‑focused productions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Producer/Director with all stages of programme production.
• Manage and maintain production schedules.
• Help scout, cast, and liaise with talent for each programme.
• Conduct location checks and recommend suitable sites for outside shoots.
• Support the Producer/Studio Director during studio recordings and production panels.
• Coordinate and book production facilities and resources.
• Maintain regular contact with talents and performers required for each project.

Required profile

• Minimum of A‑Levels or a Diploma in Media Studies.
• Fluent in both English and Tamil to communicate with Tamil‑speaking associates.
• Strong interest in television, media, and production processes.
• Ability to interact effectively with staff at all levels and the public.

Required skills

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Tamil.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Organisational skills for managing schedules and talent coordination.
