Assistant Quantity Surveyor – 2‑Month Contract

About the role

The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will support the commercial and contractual close‑out of completed projects. This short‑term position focuses on preparing and substantiating outstanding claims, variation orders, final accounts, and related documentation to aid commercial recovery and dispute resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Review and consolidate project records, cost data, and commercial documentation.
• Assist in preparing, substantiating, and submitting progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts.
• Compile supporting documents such as cost breakdowns, invoices, and timesheets for claim submissions.
• Maintain claim registers, payment records, and commercial documentation.
• Organise contractual and project records to support dispute resolution and claim management.
• Prepare claim summaries, cost analyses, and supporting schedules for management review.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, consultants, clients, and subcontractors on commercial matters.
• Provide administrative support for project close‑out and commercial recovery activities.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in construction, engineering, M&E, or built environment.
• Experience with progress claims, variation orders, final accounts, and contract administration.
• Knowledge of construction contracts and commercial management practices.
• Strong analytical, documentation and stakeholder management abilities.
